Karen BarbeeAdkisson began studying Belly Dance at the age of 10.  Over three decades later, Karen has developed a teaching methodology for this ancient dance form based on technical precision, soulful innovation, and cultural respect.  Having begun her study of Belly Dance during the 1970’s, a period of limited explanations, she developed her own.  Her background in Systems Analysis enables her to analyze movement, decompose that movement, and explain it to others in a logical way.Karen’s years of teaching have enabled her to hone her teaching skills and develop a strong philosophy and curriculum, which have evolved into progressions she refers to as “From Mastery to Mystery” 

Karen has operated Karavan Belly Dance Productions in San Antonio, Texas for 25 years, directed numerous staged productions of Middle Eastern Dance, studied and performed in Egypt and Lebanon, and has worked with some of the most highly acclaimed musicians in the business.  In addition, she has produced several instructional DVDs and has trained some of the world’s leading professional dancers and choreographers.  www.karenbarbee.com

	VICTORIA TEEL is a exciting performer and teacher.  She is one of the Belly Dance Super Stars. She recently returned from Japan dancing with the Super Star tour.  Classes:  FLUIDITY AND FLOW.  Learn how to transform your dance from 1-2-3-4 counts into a seamless combinations of movements.  Victoria explains how to combine your belly dance technique with your feet and arms in order to create an endlessly flowing and exciting performance. Classes:  VEIL TECHNIQUE AND CHOREOGRAPHY Don't let your veil drag you down!  Learn a Victoria veil technique that shows you how to effectively incorporate it into your dance and enter and end with the veil.  You will learn a mini choreography to show off your new skills. 	SHIREEM - Corpus Christi, Texas. Shireem, sponsor of Shimmy By The Sea and Shimmy At Sea Belly Dance Cruise, has been teaching and performing since 1976. She and her daughter, Susan, direct the Mystic Dancers, Lotus Dancers and Pacific Islanders Polynesian show. This dance/drum group performed in China for the Euro/American festival in 2006. 2011 Shimmy by the Sea Vendors include: Mahira's Enchanted Caravan, Taryn Kennard Tribal,  Tatika's Treasures,   Jeannie's silk veils  and others to be announced.
